Year 5 had an exciting morning learning about different jobs of men, women and children in Ancient Greek times. We researched, cooked and tasted Greek food; found out about the Trojan war and made games that children would have played. This was a fabulous practical morning.
What a fantastic start to Year 5! Our residential trip to New Barn was an exciting, fun and memorable time. It was a great opportunity to get to know each other in our new class and learn to work together as a clan. Juniper especially enjoyed the shelter building and bushcraft activities. We learnt about Saxon and Viking living; had a go at pottery and studied the local river and village close to New Barn. Although tiring we all enjoyed ourselves and had the courage to perform in the talent show at the end of the week. Please see the photos below:
